In 2019 I became a Carer for my Mum who was dying from Advanced Dementia. I was still getting my footing and enjoying the newness of being a company director. I had time off from being a new company director & business owner so I could take time off to look after my poorly Mum, little did I know that three years later the world would come to a crash course that would stop everything as I knew it would come to a screeching halt. Life would take a different turn where my Business Life and getting used to business would come to a standstill and nearly cease to exist as we know it. I am a child survivor of domestic abuse and seeing my Mum in a vulnerable state as a young child imprints a cycle of pain & trauma which sets the catalyst for the cycle to be passed down through generations. 

 

It was a time when everything was shut down and clamped shut and the Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson had advised that everyone should stay at home. My journey had only started due to having issues with my child's primary school before the pandemic where abuse was already stirring and my daughter had been denied a good education where the head teacher knew of what she had done to my daughter blighting her future & potential whilst looking after a dying parent. Due to the lockdowns, I had to shield due to being born with a congenital heart defect at birth so I was a high risk category. I wasn't able to go anywhere else other than my Mums home to provide care for her whilst she was on her journey of Advanced Dementia and then back home to ensure that my daughter was safe and well with other family members. I remember spraying everything with essential oils which were antisceptic that would keep my family safe. I later started to get into debt with the registered Business Address due to the Government not being clear about the future of the Live Events industry so I was unemployed yet again back to where I started. Only to nearly lose the home that was the only roof over our heads even if the home was in disrepair and not fit for purpose and had flooded several times in previous years. Our hopes had been dashed to the closure of my company which was to help women learn about Money Education and Emotional Health. Women Who Create Wealth Experience was dissolved without my consent and without prior knowledge.

Due to not being able to attend the registered business address which held my business post, I was not able to collect due to being on the high risk list notification, and because of this my web filing at Companies House started to pile up so I kept getting fine after fine which I could not pay so my journey of abuse began where I started two years and continuing fight for justice to restore my company and be compensated for the loss of income, distress caused and rebuild my life and my daughter who already had so much loss in her life, the impact of more traumatic abuse nearly cost her, her life and went to take her life at school. She had already been through so much loss in her life due to the abuse she saw my mental state decline and stop living only existing. I could not feed her nor give her any school dinner money, could not buy her school clothes. The shame that you feel and the loss of dignity is absolutely horrendous. Nobody should have to go without basic needs. CEO of Companies House even though she was notified by my local MP who had notified CEO at the time was not interested in my position and thinks until this day is untouchable. Economic Abuse costs women and children their lives if they feel and see there is nowhere to turn or cannot see a way out and death seems the only option for those who are pushed beyond their limits of despair. 

 

My daughter and I had to contact our local authority who were horrified at what we told them. We have lost everything because of the Economic Abuse of Companies House. Leeds Beckett Business Centre and Duport Associates LTD during the Pandemic whilst they sat at home messing up people's lives yet were only too ready to take my money. This is why I'm campaigning to help women learn about money and learn the connection to & spot the signs of Corporate Financial & Economic Abuse which impacts Mental Health, Impacts children's lives & well-being, and Education. I fight for change so no other woman & child or children will ever have to go through what my family has gone through over three year period. It's time the Law is changed and women & their children who are the victims & survivors are heard, seen and action is taken against Government Departments & Institutions who fail in their duty of care also abuse their position.
